How do I establish the cost of my event at the CAPE?
Every event is completely custom designed. Budgets are controlled by the event host and have a wide range. The brochure available on this website provides detail on costs for room rentals and food and beverage packages. Use this as a guideline. Will the CAPE’s event curator plan my event?
When your date is locked down we recommend a complimentary one hour consultation with one of our event planners to get you started. You may decide to retain this service for your entire event.
For smaller events you may choose to work directly with the CAPE event curator. They will provide multiple services including liaison with vendors and logistical planning. For weddings, we can provide a detailed event checklist and carefully curated list of local vendors and artisans.
Does the CAPE provide audio visual equipment?
The Cape has WiFi throughout and some audio visual equipment. We can facilitate presentations, meetings, speeches, mood lighting, etc. If you require any assistance, please contact us directly and we can connect you with a trusted partner.
Is the CAPE wheelchair accessible?
There is a lift and wheelchair accessible washrooms on site. Please contact us with any special requests.
Is parking available at the CAPE?
The private parking lot provides 45 on-site parking spaces for clients, vendors and guests. There is ample street parking and a large municipal parking lot near the CAPE.
How late can my event run at the CAPE?
All indoor events can run until 1:00 am (last call at 12:30am). If you’re planning an outdoor event, please speak with the Event Curator. The timing for outdoor events is subject to the nature of your event, event flow and noise by-laws.
What is the payment schedule?
A deposit equal 50% of the venue rental rate is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 14 days before the event.
What is the CAPE’s cancellation policy?
The deposit is non-refundable, although in some circumstances, may be moved to another available date.
Will we be charged extra if our event runs later than expected?
All indoor events can run until 1:00am, there is no overtime charged for the clean-up required after the event has finished. If a day-time event runs late, the event would move to an overtime hourly rate which would be discussed at the time of booking.
Is there a backup plan for weather if we book the Wilde Garden and aren't able to be outside?
Yes, any outdoor event will have a "rain" plan. The CAPE will provide an alternate location on the property if the weather is not suitable for the event that was planned. Details of this would be discussed before booking the venue.
Will staff be provided for the event?
The CAPE will provide a cleaning team before and after the event. Chefs, servers, bartenders and bussers are included in the catering contract. Additional staff can be provided.
May I stay overnight at the CAPE?
