Situated in one of the most desirable areas of Prince Edward County, The Reach Guesthouse is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Guests can sit on the private deck and immerse themselves in the scenery. The delightful smell of wood, calming quietness, and overall serenity of the Guesthouse gives any occupant a sense of inner peace. With easy access to nature trails, visitors can explore the area by foot or bicycle. The house sits on 10 acres of
private property with direct access to a woodland

Explore The Area
PEC is known for so many things and we could go on and on about what to do and where to go and what to eat...so we have shortened it to a list of how to maximize the fun while rediscovering the area:
Find a guide book for your area or region at a local book store and see what activities interest you. Also, ask your accommodations host for recommendations! Chances are they are from the area and know it like the back of their hand, and these folks will be able to give you the best insight to exploring the County. Want a head-start planning your staycation? Check out these great things to do!
Carson's Garden Market is definitely a must-see while visiting the County. Do some shopping and then grab lunch from Flossie's Sandwich Parlour!
Book a Wine Tour (and Brewery!) - this is a definite must-do on your list of activities to do while in the County. You can book tours online through different tour sites, but if you have your own list of places you'd like to check out, you can always make your own wine tour route and be sure to either have a designated driver or hire a private service for! Explore Tours, Wineries, Breweries, and More!
Check out the local eats - there are SO many fabulous restaurants in the County, you would need longer than a weekend to check them ALL out! If you're a planner (like me!) you will want to make reservations as many of the restaurants here are always busy. Here is a great link with all of the local restaurants and links to their websites! If you're a last minute nelly and need some recommendations, ask around town while you are out exploring. Again, the locals will be your best friends and help you find the perfect spot to dine!
Get out of the car! - try renting bicycles for the day to do your tour of the county, or spend an afternoon renting paddle boards, kayaks or canoes and get out on the water
ICE CREAM - you can't say you staycationed in the County if you didn't get ice cream from Slickers!
Head to the beach - if you are wanting to spend a day at Sandbanks (or any of the provincial beaches in the County), you will want to think ahead. All guests coming to the beaches require a day pass (even if you're just there for some morning yoga or sunset photos) and need to be pre-registered for a parking space prior to arriving to the beach
Be Sure to Leave Reviews
The sand is on everything, everyone smells like sunscreen, the car is packed up and the bottles of wine to take home are perched on top of all the bags and suitcases. Your summer staycation in PEC is winding to a close, but there is one thing left for you to do: LEAVE A REVIEW! Positive feedback and great reviews not only help your hosts, but also help fellow visitors to the County plan their trip! Be a good sport and leave some reviews however, if something wasn't what it should have been, or you weren't completely satisfied, message your host, the restaurant, whomever it was, directly as opposed to leaving a negative review.
